Clock gating in I.MXRT1176

Hello All,

  I have a confusion regarding 400Mhz RC clock of I.MXRT1176.

1.In "OSC_400M_CTRL1" we have a gate bit

What does Gated means here, is it Gated ON/OFF?

  My understand is ON or off, the not gated is ON.

Thanks for the response.
Just needed to confirm once
Not Gated:- Clock is connected to peripherals
Gated :- Clock is disconnected from peripherals.
