Audio and Video decoder for IMX RT 1064

Hi,

I am working on a media application development in IMX RT 1064, on FreeRTOS.

I could see that there is audio and video support on IMX RT 1064 EVK and there are sample applications for this. The SDK API mentions about  Quadrature Encoder/Decoder. I would like to know if the 1064 EVK supports hardware decoding for MP3 / MP4 formats. Can you please help?

Hi Radhika,

RT1064 hasn't hardware MP3/Mp4 codec. You have to use software codec.
