"Could not open egl display" error and GPU problem on imx6dl

Hello

I am trying to build embedded Linux that runs QtWebengine via Buildroot.

I applied a patch at this link to enable webengine on buildroot

I enable imx-gpu-viv library, openGL support and eglfs support. to test both webengine and gpu, I run demobrowser with -platform eglfs from QT. It gives me "Could not open egl display"

when I run demobrowser - platform directfb, application occupies half of CPU so GPU does not work and I cant use demobrowser.

which library is or configuration is missing?

It is not only related with qtwebengine, it is about egl and gpu. I sent a mail but it is not replied yet. most probably, solution will be for yocto project, I use buildroot.

I want to check whether gpu is running

I want to learn how I can open egl display and what makes this error.

this problem can be faced when one wants to use gpu via egl for any application except from qt.

Additionally, thanks for image.however I want to check gpu for my rootfs. I guess I do not have problem with hardware because I tried my rootfs for several boards

sorry, Buildroot is not supported by nxp, for its issues one

can post on buildroot mail list.

your solution is for yocto project. I am using Buildroot, also I am newbie for Buildroot and I have not used yocto project yet. your solution may be applicable also for buildroot but now I am do not have enough experience to do that yet.
