I am wondering if it is possible for imx6q to use mipi dsi to drive a full-hd screen(1920x1080) in 16 bpp mode with a refresh rate around 48Hz

1.for line buffer , imx6  is able to  support 2048 pixels(in 16 bpp)  for this screen

2.bandwidth for 1080P in 48hz is 1920*1080*16bpp*48Hz = 1.5925248Gbps. With ~20% margin for sync, blanking and commands, this actual bandwith requried by this screen still could be satisfied.

Is there any thing wrong with the opinions listed above?

Hello Mike,

The Max resolution supported by MIPI DSI is 1280x720, so it can't support 1080P HD.

Have a nice day!
