Our company uses the core board of your i.MX8MP, kernel version is 5.4.70, and uses the RGMII port to attach the switch chip KSZ9563. Since linux driver can only recognize one port, according to the test, the switch is considered to be 100 Mbit or gigabit according to the rate of the identified port. However, the RGMII port hardware of the switch chip is fixed to gigabit, if the identified port is 100 gigabit, the linux driver will communicate with the switch in accordance with the RGMII sequence of 100 gigabit, but because the switch is hardwired to gigabit, there is a communication problem.
The demand of our company is whether we can make the Linux driver solidify at a rate of gigabit. I can see from the Internet that it can be modified. Please kindly give your support.
