imx6ull-evk not booting or showing or anything when connected

When following to guide for the quick as described here, following all the required steps i am not seeing any response on either PuTTY or minicom when trying to connect to it, nothing boots as well, could maybe the image or the board be fault?
if so could someone connect me to an installation guide for a basic image?

Hello omerg,

It should be a problem with the sdcard, please download the demo image, erase and program the sdcard, and try it again.

Hi, again, i tried downloading an sd card image i downloaded

L5.4.70_2.3.0_MX6UL7D

and 

L5.4.3_1.0.0_MX6UL7D

i tried burning them both (wic and sdcard images) with an image burner (etcher) but alas nothing showed, any other things i can try?

Are there any guides of how to do that? i belive I've burned the image but it seems the issue still persist
