Hello,

To improve performance, I would like to use the gpmi of an imx6dl in onfi synchronous mode 5 with hardware ecc. Where can I find the Linux driver that supports this configuration?

Hello Stef Stuntpiloot,

You can see the details on the linux drivers of the BSP on the Linux Reference Manual of the BSP documentation. The interface supports ONFI 2.2 and it’s my understanding that the sync mode 5 is used by default but I would look at the driver sources for more details on the implementation.

Hello gusarambula,

Thanks for your reply. I have been looking at the documentation and source code. The data sheet documents indeed that ONFI 2.2 sync mode is supported. But BSP seems to only support async mode. Since the chip supports sync mode I assume there is also a driver to use it this mode. But I cannot find it, can you point me to the documentation or source code for sync mode?

Thanks,

Stef
