Hi,
we need to rotate the display by 90o CCW in xserver environment. I searched the posts and a lot of people say that vivante_drv doesn't support rotation. If you need portrait mode in the display than you have to use fbdev driver. Is that true?

If you are talking about XRandR extension, it will be supported in future release.
Do you have an ETA for this?
We're seeing some issues of tearing when using fbdev, and are trying to decide whether to dig into the details or wait.
Unfortunately this is true; Vivante’s driver does not support rotation as of today.
