Hi community,
I have a question about i.MX6SDL HDMI.
I have understood i.MX6DL HDMI support 16, 24 bits L-PCM in https://community.freescale.com/thread/349086.
Then, please see chapter 13.2.5 in IMX6SDLLXRM Rev.Rev L3.0.35_4.1.0 (for L3.0.35_4.1.0_BSP).
24 bits audio is not mentioned in this chapter.
In addition, in sound/soc/imx/imx-hdmi-dma.c in L3.0.35_4.1.0, there is the following comment.
/* 24bit not support now. */
So we understood i.MX6SDL supports 24 bits L-PCM, but driver is not supported.
Is this correct?
Best Regards,
Satoshi Shimoda
Solved! Go to Solution.
mx6 can support 24bits, different bsp version has different driver support. normally you can configure the asound.conf to support it.
Dear All,
I have a same problem in the customer board.
I'm using the i.MX6Q / Linux 3.14.52
Could you tell me how to confirm the 24bit HDMI Audio on i.MX6 Evaluation board?
Best Regards,
Eric.
