Can you confirm i.MX53 supports 4 720p30 simultaneous encoding process? (sorry there was a previous post Re: 4 Camera input, vpu encode and image processing, is i.mx53 capable? but the answer does not appear) I need to encode 4 pal D1 signals.

Can also the deinterlacer work on simultaneous streams (PAL D1)?

Thank you.

It does not. Or actually, you can encode 4 720p30 video streams, but not in real time. So it could be used for encoding streams stored on NAND or similar media which should be compressed and sent forward for processing, but if you need encoding in real time, i.MX53 can encode one 720p30 stream.

Thank you Vladan. Is there the limit of one real-time stream or the limit is the bandwidth. Is it possible, for instance, to encode two Half-D1 streams (720x288) in real time?

Thank you

Bandwidth is the limit, encoder is capable of 20Mbps bitrate overall. Two Half-D1 sounds possible to me, but should be verified also with real application.
