i.MX 8M Plus IBIS-AMI not supported by Altium

Hi,

I'm using MIMX8ML8CVNKZAB in a project and I tried to add the provided i.MX 8M Plus 15x15 IBIS Model (ibis_imx8mp_v2_20201023) to the Altium symbol.

However, Altium Support claim that Altium only supports IBIS specification up to and including 4.0, and that IBIS-AMI was only added to the spec in version 5.0. The i.MX IBIS file is version 6.0.

Can I please have an IBIS version 4.0 file for MIMX8ML8CVNKZAB ?

I get the following errors.

• ERROR - AMI_Version "6.0" is not valid
• ERROR - Unknown parameter Tx_Rj found as a child of Reserved_Parameters
• ERROR - Unknown parameter Rx_Dj found as a child of Reserved_Parameters

e.g. there are AMI references in this IBIS V6.0 file.

• Line 812 : [Model Selector] USB3_RX
• Line 813 : synopsys_usb3_rx_ami synopsys_usb3_rx_ami
• Line 814 : synopsys_usb3_rx_ami_jitter synopsys_usb3_rx_ami_jitter

IBIS version 4.0 doesn't support IBIS-AMI model so it is not recommended to use Altium for simulation. Please use professional tools for simulation.

Is it possible to export an IBIS V4.0 from whatever tool it was created in?

I don't have access to other tools, and I'm unlikely to be able to gain access during the scope of this project.
