Q1:I already have version 11.6 installed, can I install version 11.7 without deleting version 11.6?

install version11.7 when version11.6 is here

Q2:my project is bulid by version11.7 . could I use version 11.6 open it successfully?

To Q1, I tried to reproduce, but no such issue as yours.

To Q2, In principle, it is not recommended to use it from the perspective of IDE, and the new options on the higher version may be lost in the lower version.
