Hi all,
I am trying to understand how the parallel LCD display interface is used, from the Sabre Lite schematic.
That board was presumably designed with a particular (class of) display in mind: can someone tell me what it is? Then I'll get it's documentaion, & understand more.
Particularly, I need to understand better what these signals are used for:
PWM1 (pin 37) - what does this do?
DRDY (pin 34) - is this Data Enable?
CNTRST (pin 4) - this sounds like "contrast": is it a PWM signal?
Regards & thanks,

Hello,David,
I don't konw which schematic you are reading, but normally:
>>PWM1 (pin 37) - what does this do?
this is PWM signal. there are more 2 PWM modules in i.MX SoC.
>>DRDY (pin 34) - is this Data Enable?
This is data enable signal.
>>CNTRST (pin 4) - this sounds like "contrast": is it a PWM signal?
Yes, it is PWM signal. used to control back light of LCD.

Weidong

Many thanks, Weidong.
I was using the Sabre Lite schematic published by Element 14 (aka Farnell Australia), Sheet 15.
Presumably the Sabre was designed with a particular display in mind (connector pinout, etc.) - do you know which that is?

Hello,David,
Please understand them like above what I described . and would you like to share schematic with me ?
my email : weidong.sun@freescale.com.
Thanks,
