Hi all,

Yesterday I got the i.MX53 board and would like to attach a board with the Sierra chip AirPrime 8092 which is an HSPA + modem.

On my PC with ubuntu 11.10 driver is already present but this board with default Linux not recognize it properly. How can I do? I must add driver? and where is this driver? How compile driver for this board.

thanks

do ./ltib -v and find the error.

Its an easy task, which will help you find the error, on your own!

You cannot play with compilers.

Old / New, there are compatibility issues.

So stick with the original until you profess in adding new packages WRT Compiler Compatibilty.

I'm not sure. I (as well as Krishna Pavan) am still researching that at the moment.  I just want to give you an alternative solution so you can at least move ahead with what you want to do.

You should use screen for terminal emulation as follows:

  • screen <port> <baud_rate>

For example, in my case my my screen command is

  • screen /dev/ttyUSB0 115200

To exit out of the screen session, press Ctrl + 'a' and then press 'k'.

If you are having trouble with minicom at the moment and you want to use a serial program (emulator) to login to the target, I suggest looking at using screen.  You can select it from the list of packages to add to the target just like you selected minicom within LTIB.  It's a nice alternative that will get you up and running.  Once you login to your target and do what you need to do, go back to debugging the minicom issue if you really want/need to use minicom.

Have you changed spec file?

Why don't you find a proper package instead?

look in ltib/dist/lfs-5.1

go to minicom

find a spec file

download the appropriate package

add appropriate package to /pkgs.

Unless you follow the above, you will get those errors....that, no one can solve from here.

Hi,

Are you sure, you have added a proper minicom package to the /pkgs?

If yes, then you need to do some tweaking in the program, on your own,

If no,   then you need to add proper package, by looking spec file in lfs5.1 directory.
