Within the last months, one after the other DRAM manufacturer discontinued the production of DDR3/DDR3L memory-components with 8Gb capacity per chip.
Frustrating enough, last week also Micron suddenly announced End-Of-Life of their 8 Gigabit components with part # MT41K1G8SN (x8) and MT41K512M16HA (x16).
Since many NXP i.MX based boards rely on the availability of such 8Gb DDR3 devices, I would like to inform everybody that the manufacturer Intelligent Memory has compatible products and promises long term availability.
x8 Single CS Part# IM8G08D3FCBG, datasheet here (click the link to the right): Datasheet x8
x16 Single CS Part# IM8G16D3FCBG, datasheet here: Datasheet x16
Or take a look at the general IM DDR3 webpage here
The components are also available with industrial temperature range.
