Migrating MC13224 to MC13226

Hi,

I have an existing application which uses the MC13224 chip. I plan to migrate this across to the MC13226, from what I understand, there exists only a few differences in these chips, the RAM and ROM have some difference e.g drivers being removed from ROM and loaded in RAM etc. However when I go to build this new system with the MC13226 chipset instead, where do I get the new libraries or configuration to achieve this? Any help would be great.

Thanks

Hello,

All the information available for those parts it’s on the NXP web page, nonetheless, we do not recommend new designs with the MC13226.

Currently, the available devices with ZigBee support are the JN516x family

The currently supported stacks by KW24D are Thread, 802.15.4 MAC and SMAC.

The currently supported stacks by KW41Z are Thread, BLE, 802.15.4 MAC and SMAC.

ZigBee 3.0 will be supported in KW41Z in Q1 2018 and currently, there are no plans to support this stack in KW24D.

Best Regards,

Estephania
