Hi i.MX 8ULP/93 Champ !
My customer is looking for a suitable product for a new project that requires connecting two cameras and utilizing a low-power processor. The 8ULP is a low-power series, but only one instance of MIPI-CSI, In case of i.MX 93 , only one instance of either MIPI-CSI or Parallel RGB is allowed, as per the reference manual.
I'm unsure if this device supports virtualization, but I'm inquiring whether it's possible to connect multiple cameras, up to two, using external SerDes or similar means.
if you have recommendation with other option, Please let us know.
Thanks.
Regards,
JK
i.mx8ulp and imx93 only can support one camera in the same time, imx93 support mipi csi or parllel csi, but only one ISI,so only one camera can be supported, if you need dual camera, you can refer to the i.mx8mp which has two mipi csi ports, but imx8mp mipi csi doesn't supports multi virtual channel, if you need more than 2 camera, maybe you can refer to the imx8qm, if you consider the power consumption and can accept 2 camera, suggest to use imx8mp
