Hi,

We are currently working on Secure boot implementation for Imx6 device using HAB library. In this implementation, we have some initial phase quaries below:

  • Can we replace u-boot with my own customized bootloader ? What is the role of hab.c ,soc.c.. in u-boot?

If it’s possible to implement secure boot with customized bootloader, what kind of changes need to do to authenticate bootloader by the BOOTROM?.

In this project bootloader will load next stage images like RTOS kernel.

Can you please support on this.

--- Thanks & Regards,

     Dhanu

Hello,

Generally, U-boot can be used just as an example for HAB approach. For HAB details,

please refer to app note AN4581 "Secure Boot on i.MX50, i.MX53, and i.MX 6 Series
using HABv4", “HAB Code-Signing Tool User’s Guide” and HAB API description in CST tool

package.

Also, the following may be useful :

Have a great day,
