We are using an iMX53-based custom platform running Android Gingerbread with iMX53 freescale Android R10.2 BSP. The platform has a WL1271 WiFi device and I want to configure the platform as a WiFi Access Point.
As I understand it I need the WL1271 driver with hostap running on top. I also need to run DHCP. The Android distribution does come with /external/hostap but the Android build is commented out. Any ideas why? Has anyone done this before for Android? There are various posts on Android and HostAP but no clear description on the various components needed and steps involved, particularly for Gingerbread.
