8MNANOLPD4-EVK | does the wifi module on the EVK support monitor (sniffer) mode

Dear Team,

Could you please advise if the wifi/ble module (based on 88W8987 chipset) used in the 8MNANOLPD4-EVK supports 'monitor mode' in Linux (Yocto drivers)?

Monitor mode means, the wifi device module can listen (sniff) to every packet that is around.
By default, the mode of wireless devices is set to "Managed" which means the wireless device will only capture packets that much the device MAC address as the destination MAC.

Hello,

As you may know the module that is mounted in the EVK is the AW-CM276MA which is made by azure wave.

I'll suggest to contact Azure wave regarding this feature since the driver and module is supported by them.
