These slides use the 3.10 Kernel and meta-fsl-arm?  Isn't this stale?  The last commit to meta-fsl-arm was in 2016: 

meta-fsl-arm - Layer containing Freescale ARM hardware support metadata 

I was very much looking forward to reading about the current tips & tricks for building with i.MX & Yocto, but I don't think this is it.
