Hi,
I'm using the CLKOUT_RUN function, eg, using the PTB5, to output the tested clock source.
But I find that the CLKOUT_RUN_CLK can't output about over 20Mhz, right?
I don't find information from the RM or DS about the max frequency of the CLKOUT_RUN_CLK.
Could you help me check that?
Thanks,
Gavin
Hello,
PTB5 is a GPIO-STANDARD-PLUS pad (See IOMUX spreadsheet), meaning it can only be driven at a maximum of 25MHz. (Section 4.4.1 of the RM)
You should be able to drive faster speeds out of PTD10 (GPIO-FAST, Up to 120MHz switching according to the same chapter of RM)
The reason is there are a limited number of medium/fast pads on S32K3, and on the eval board most of these are routed to high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet or QSPI
Best regards,
Peter
