S32K3 RTD 4.0 unclear connection between Port module and S32CT Pins tool

Hi all,

I am currently trying to understand the connection between the S32CT Pins tool and the RTD Port module.

I already observed with RTD 3.0, that the Port module somehow checked against the Pin module, at least regarding input/output section.
To my knowledge, this is not really documented anywhere, like in the user or integration manual of the Port module.

With the change to RTD 4.0, it get's worse. I am getting error messages like these:

Although for example PTA9 is indeed configured:

So it seems that with RTD 4.0, maybe some dependency with the Pin tool "function groups" was introduced?

The question is why? Where is the documentation? How is the workflow?

But still it is very frustrating to have no documentation but rely on some random NXP community entry to figure it out.
