Hello,
my MCU is locked while flash erasing due to secured flash memory in CSEC operations.
I found out the problem but now I want to unlock my MCU.
Is there any way unlocking it? hard resetting? maybe NXP has a tool for that?
(I cannot connect not debugging, nor j-flash)
I am open to any solution.
Hello,
I have tried both of them. In the first one, there was a power connection issue.
As a result, they did not solve the issue.
@Senlent Now, I want to ask if there is not any way to unlock mcu; I need a clear guide for erasing flash that will not lock again any chance.
Because this is 3rd mcu that is locked and I dont have much in backup.
Please provide me a clear and solid guideline.
Thank you,
Sincerely.
Hi@muhammetkalayci
you can take a look at the AN12130,
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN12130.pdf
The chapter:3.2.5.2 Mass erase and CSEc considerations
In order for you to better understand these modules, you can also take a look at the following two documents
Using the Kinetis Security and Flash Protection Features
Getting Started with CSEc Security Module
These are some application notes I could find, maybe they can help you
Hi@muhammetkalayci
1.please try to use J-LINK to read the register of MDM_AP
for example:
According to AN4507 :https://www.nxp.com/search?keyword=AN4507&start=0
"If the user disables mass erase with no other means to unsecure the device (no backdoor key and no firmware means of changing the default security options), then that device will be permanently secured."
2.If your J-Link can not connect to MCU, you can have a try to use the software provided in the below link.
