I starting to look into a project where I would like to use the MC9S12C32 running the FreeRTOS and TCP/IP. the idea is to read some sensors and send the info using TCP/IP. the question is: is this practical interms of instructions overhead.
All thoughts welcomed.

Hmm my wife is nagging me to get off her laptop ill be back in a bit just google NE64
Is definitely a nice chip, but I already have the C32 eval board and also the E128 eval board so I would like to used them if possible.
This is just a sort of investigation on how to use the TCP/IP stack and a real time OS, maybe later it will become something more, but at the moment I do not want to spend to much money on it.

may be a good place to start. They are talking about a UDP/IP implementation though, which can still get data across the net and is easier to implement in some situations. Have you tried googling for much info?

Should you want to purchase an NE64 at some point this may be a good option and may swap out with one of your existing EVB's depending on who they are from.

the Freescale board is about $240, so you can not go wrong.
I will probably buy one of this I think, just have to disguise it on my next order...

No, I have not used that board. Remember though that is a module meant to plug into one of there other boards. You might want to give them a call/shoot them an email to figure out what is the best way for you to get setup. My C32 demo board was a free gift from Future Electronics which is a module and the parent board. I think there parent boards are designed so any of the modules can swap in/out with each other. I have not looked into it too much but they are not a bad place to get eval boards. I have never used the Wytec boards http://www.evbplus.com/ but they seem to be priced reasonably too. For beginners they have quite a few options on them at a reasonable price! I don't know that they offer anything for the NE64 though. Anyhow I gotta run I am about to be late for work!
