1) With a channel selected/enabled, the behaviour of SCLOUT/SDAOUT will be identical with SCLIN/SDAIN. Is it right?

What status of the deselected/disnabled others? Are they will output High-impedance or in 3-state?

2) Can the SCLOUT/SDAOUT pins of two PCA948A devices directly connect to one slave device such as a temp sensor? Only one set of I2C pairs be activated at one time.

Hello Junjie,

Yes, this will work if only one set of I2C pairs will activated at one time.

Best regards,

Tomas

Hello,

1. Yes, the master SCL/SDA signal pair is directed to the selected channel(s) of slave devices.

When a channel is selected, the channel becomes active after writing to the control register with a stop condition placed on the I2C bus.

Not selected (disabled) channels are in a high state (idle).

2. I do not quite understand this use case. Can you please elaborate on this?

Best regards,

Tomas
