Hello,
I am wondering about the differences between the internal connections of the TJA1051 and TJA1043.
I use both of them and have recently encountered a problem.
Multiple TJA1051T/3 and multiple TJA1043T were used on the same board. Their VCC and VIO pins supplied with 5V and the related MCU pins supplied with 3.3V. TJA1051T/3 caused the 3.3V LDO output voltage to increase but TJA1043T works fairly when TJA1051 not populated. Why is TJA1051 causing such a problem? Could it be related to the IC's internal connections or PCB layout or something else?
Best regards.
Hello Sezen,
Could you please share your schematic to get a better picture of the connection of these HS-CAN transceivers?
Are the VIO pins connected to 3.3V in order to adjust the signal levels of pins TXD, RXD etc. to the I/O levels of your MCU?
BR, Tomas
Hello Tomas,
TJA1043 and TJA1051 connections are as below.
MCU I/O supply is 3.3V.
TJA1051 / TJA1043 VCC and VIO pins connected to 5V.
I know the signal levels are not the same but the TJA1043 works fine as shown below. I'm only having trouble with TJA1051.
Best regards.
