Unexpected Value When Reading PHY_ID_1 Register (address 8002h) on my TJA1103EVB Ethernet Board

Hello NXP community,

I'm currently working on reading the PHY_ID_1_register (address 8002h), but I'm encountering unexpected results. When I attempt to read the register, the output I get for pdata is 0x70000014. Delving deeper into pdata(x), it shows a value of [0] 65535 or 0x0000ffff.

I expected to get a valid PHY ID from this register, but this seems to be an erroneous value. Is there something I might be doing incorrectly in my reading process, or could there be other factors at play? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your insights!

Which target processor are you referring to?

Which version of CodeWarrior are you using?
