SC16IS740: Will level change of /CS reset frame?

Will a high-low transisiton of the /CS signal of the SC16IS740/SC16IS760 reset the SPI frame, so that the chip will regard the next bit as the first bit of an SPI transmission?

I'm asking because I have no MCU pin left to control the reset line. If my MCU reboots, can toggling /CS get me out of an interrupted transmission (for software re-initialization)?

If CS signal is from low to high which mean SPI stop communication,SC16IS740 will wait for next effective command to do next operation which depend on the MCU code setting.
