Forum, I am looking into designing a class D or E high efficiency amplifier operating at 80MHz for a laser ignition system. I have designed a lot of amplifiers with LDMOS but all were class AB. I don't see anything online about using LDMOS in these switch mode architectures. Am I missing something or is there some issue or problem with using LDMOS in these conditions.
