Distributed Systems Interface 3 (DSI3) what type of connector is commonly used?

For Point-to-Point Bus Topology, I assume that a two-pin connector is used.

For Daisy-Chain Bus Topology , 4-pin connector is used, am I right?

For Parallel Bus Topology, how many pin connector is used?

What's the commonly used connector model number?

I guess it similar to PSI5 that used all the same 2-pin connector .

Thanks.

Hi @brian14,

Thank you for your response. While the "general" connector on the evaluation board OK for testing, we won't be able to use it in our design as it isn't an automotive-grade connector. Could you recommend any suitable automotive connectors or standard DSI3 automotive connectors for this application?

Additionally, are there any available products on the market that utilize the FXPS7140 or a similar DSI3-compatible IC?

I appreciate your help and look forward to your suggestions.

Wishing you a great week ahead!

Hi @macholy

Thank you for contacting NXP Support!

For connectors and hardware configuration for FXPS7140X, you can refer to the Socket Evaluation Board for FXLS9 and FXPS7 Sensors Families (SEN-GEN6-SKT | Socket Board for FXLS9 and FXP7 | NXP Semiconductors).
Here you will find the Schematic and User Guide for this board.
The board contains the configuration and connector used to implement I2C, DSI3, PSI5 and SPI.
In your case, you will find especially useful the DSI3 section, you can based on this design.
Finally, for any part number used on this board that you would like to know you can refer to the BOM downloaded with the Design Files

I hope this information will be helpful.

Have a great day!
