Hello,
I want to ask a question about the Freescale product, MC1320x RF daughter card.
There are two different designs in your database for the RF daughter card schematics.
They differ on the RF end portion. While one has two capacitors before the inverted-F and SMA antenna whereas the other one has two resistors instead. On the other hand, the latter places the SMA after the bandpass filter.
I wanted to learn if those make changes in terms of transmission power or frequency. I add the links below:
http://www.nxp.com/docs/en/reference-manual/1320xQE128EVBRM.pdf (page 5 -1) from 2009
http://www.nxp.com/docs/en/user-guide/MC1320xRFCUG.pdf (page 10) from 2010.
Thanks,
Yavuz
Hello,
MC1320x is not recommended for new designs. You can check out our IEEE® 802.15.4-based Wireless MCUs - 2.4 GHz Solutions for a list of our latest products.
The RF circuit is designed specifically for each board, as the RF performance depends on the physical properties of the board such as layout, PCB stack up, antenna, etc.
