Hello,

In theory a reader can communicate with another reader in the following scenarios:

1. Peer to peer.

2. Card emulation.

It will be necessary to define in which NFC mode they will be working and set to each side.

Best regards,

Ivan.

in doc, MFRC630 and MFRC630 plus: High-performance frontend for MIFARE and NTAG products Rev. 4.7 — 12 September 2018

The MFRC630 multi-protocol NFC frontend IC supports the following operating modes:

• Read/write mode supporting ISO/IEC 14443A and MIFARE Classic -> this is mifare i know

• Read/write mode supporting NTAG

what is NTAG? Is it reader can imitate card role?

1. Peer to peer.-> Is this supported by mfrc630?

2. Card emulation. -> Are you talking about smartphone card emulation mode?

Hello,

NTAG is a Tags family, for more information, please refer to: https://www.nxp.com/products/identification-security/rfid/nfc-hf/ntag:MC_71717

Regarding the NFC Frontends, please take a look to the NFC Frontend solutions in the following link for the NFC Functionality: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/brochure/939775017564.pdf

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Ivan.
