MCSPTE1AK144 Encoder

I wanna use mcspte1ak144 with encoder mode and in the software, I saw that there is a note, it basically says that I can not use this kit with encoder mode. But when I check the website it shows that I can use this kit with encoder mode. My question is, is there an encoder in this kit?
