Dear sir,
I have some issue to run the “HCP_examples/s32g2/pil/simple/s32g2_pil_hardness.mdl” with the MBDTToolbox_HCP.
I was told by NXP field Application engineer that “we have consulted with internal team and they have stated the MBDT 1.2.0 G2X release will work with G3, and it has been used with RDB3 board”
Here is my step-by-step procedure to try to download and deploy the simple pil_hardness.mdl on to my s32g3 gold box RDB3.
- Goldbox is up running, using the shipped SD card (which means with the original Linux BSP31 for s32G399A). Looks like ping and SSH both working. (by the way, I change the root password to “rootroot”)
- If I uses the BSP image for S32G2, flash to SD card, the RDB3 not boot up, I don’t see any running screen on the “tera team” usb terminal
- For ethernet connection, I tried “eth0”, not working, I tried “pfe3” for the same process below, still not working.
2. I open the model, the hardware Implementation->target hardware resources->Board Param looks same
3. If I run the simulation from similation->run, or modeling->run, it compiled with output in scope. (I guess the SIL is running ok)
4. If I use Hardware->Build, Deploy & Start, it shows “0 of 2 models built (1 models already up to date)”, Apparently, SIL model is built, but PIL is not. So the deployment is not happening.
5. I tried hardware->monitor & tune->connect, it failed and ask me to enable the interface as “external mode”
6. Again, even I enable the “external mode”, I didn’t see the compile go through.
Summary:
Now I am stuck at the first step of PIL of MBDT_HCP. I need help to get this example deployed on the RDB3 board.
By looking at the add-on toolbox, I didn’t even find s32G2 firmware under my add-on. Could that be an issue?
What will be the critical firmware link, I need to add/update to make my simple example works?
