I have a question

I want to inject a fault in the XBIC module and test this error in FCCU module. I found an un logical behavior.  when trying to write to XBIC registers (XBIC_MCR, XBIC_EIR,..), I can't access the controller through freemaster and the connection between the controller and my PC is disabled. it requires to reflash the controller again for reconnecting with freemaster

Hello,

Your behavior seem to me correct. Once you inject the XBIC fault the device will react on that fault.

So if the reaction is safe state (like reset / safe mode) then you will loose connection as the pins will reset  their configuration.

Have a look at my XBIC fault injection example here:

Best regards,

Peter
