We are using micro SPC5777CCK3MMO3R in HLC project to turn ON and OFF the BJT transistor.
In our analysis with worst case scenario the VOL is 0.2*Vcc. Our Vcc is 3.3V and 5V. With these inputs the VOL is turning ON the BJT transistor. Can you please provide us the VOL we will get with max current pulled from pin GPIO150 of micro that is 0.1mA to 0.5mA.
Kindly provide us the solution on urgent basis.
Hi,
we provide following specification:
for SR pads:
And for FS pads:
We can read the specification like this:
At voltage drop 0.8*VDDEx (for logic '1') or 0.2*VDDEx (for logic '0'), the pads are able to source/sink defined current, at least (or more).
Or in opposite way: if we source/sink defined current from a pad, it is guaranteed that the voltage drop will be lower than 0.8*VDDEx (for logic '1') or 0.2*VDDEx (for logic '0') under all operating conditions.
Unfortunately we do not provide partial specification for lower voltage drop, so it should be characterized by customers in their application. But if we are talking about 0.1-0.5mA currents, I can see no problem here, especially if you use full drive strength.
