• Subject : CAN FD implementation
• Description : We are using MPC 5744 P Dev Kit for one of our project haiving CAN FD requirement. We have connected the PEAK CAN simulator to CAN _0 port. Found that CAN FD is not working in the board. We have disabled the loopback in the FlexCAN example application and tested with the PEAK CAN simulator. We are using a bus speed of 500 kHz. Please provide the clock settings for this frequency. It is urgent and our project istalled now

Thanks. CAN extened ID is working. But is there any solution around MPC 5744P for CAN FD ?

Hi,

unfortunately not, FlexCAN simply does not support CAN FD on MPC5744P, so there is no solution.

Will it support normal CAN with extended ID ?

yes, normal CAN message with ext/std ID is supported.
For CAN bit timing calculation you can use below tool
