Hello,

I want to use an LS2088 board as a traffic generator toward an LX2160 board.

No issue when using copper between LS2088 and LX2160 1Gb/s and 10Gb/s ports.

For a use case, I would like to generate traffic to LX2160 25Gb/s ports (SFP+ / fiber). The problem is that when connecting the two boards, LX2160 always indicates the 25 Gb/s ports as DOWN and NO-CARRIER.
I suppose this is due to (absence of?) speed negociation between the ports.

So my question is: can LX2160 receive  10Gb/s traffic on the 25Gb/s ports? is there a way to configure that?

Thanks,

Regards,

The LX2160A 25G Ethernet port can be connected only to another 25G Ethernet port.

Thanks for the reply.

Is there a rationale for that?
