LPC4088 with SPIFI FLASH Above 16MB/24 Bit

Can LPC408x support more than 16MB of SPIFI SPI flash memory with the newest version of SPIFILIB (V1.01),
or is it a matter of hardware (24 Bit addressing limit, SPIFI Buffer Space 0x2800 0000 - 0x28FF FFFF)?

LPC4088 supports only up to 16MB SPIFI flash memory mapped area. LPC1800/4300 devices support more than 16MB SPIFI flash memory. SPIFI hardware supports more than 3 bytes addressing. It was not implemented in new SPIFI library. We will implement it. It has been implemented in old version of SPIFI library.

Can SPIFI flash greater than 16MB be used in Command mode?

The software interface to the SPIFI controller is the same as for the LPC43xx parts so I can see no reason why this would not work - however I have not actually tried this.  Of course regardless, only 16MBs will be accessible from code running on the LPC4088.
