We have a low volume product that uses the LPC1837xET256 that we are updating.

I'd like to consider using the LPC18S57xET256 for its security offerings and mostly to avoid Errata note PMC.1.

It seems that the  LPC18S57xET256 is a ball-for-ball replacement for the LPC1837xET256. Is this correct?

Also, is the LPC18S57xET256 the silicon update for the LPC1857xFET256 or is it a limited branch offering?  Will I have a hard time finding the LPC18S57 in low volumes in the next 12 months?

Can anyone share thoughts or information on the roadmap?

Thanks for reading.

There are dedicated error sheets for the LPC18Sxx flashless and flash parts.
The PMC.1 applies to the flashless parts, not for the LPC18S57.
The flash version went through a redesign, therefore many bugs of the first version have been fixed.

Does Errata note PMC.1 apply to the LPC18S57?

Production of LPC18(S)xx falls into our longetivity program:

http://www.nxp.com/techzones/microcontrollers-resources/product-longevity.html

LPC1837 and LPC18(S)57 are footprint compatible, only the internal features differ.
The S-versions of the LPC1857 are based on the same silicon revision as the normal LPC1857. They both exist in parallel.
Especially the S parts are going into typically longer term products like e-metering gateways, so we don't expect that the volume in the mid term will fall under a limit where we cannot produce any longer with profit.
