What is "Allowed Error" in the Timing Dialog in Kinetis Design Studio?

We are using the MK10DX64VLH7 Kinetis micro-controller.

When we configure the TU2 Timing Dialog for 7.8125 Hz, we get this setting called "ALLOWED ERROR" set to a default value of 5%.

What exactly is this?

Hello Bob,

Sometimes the core clock frequency or the peripheral clock can't set the exact frequency need it for the timer/peripheral so this "Allowed Error" is the error range, if the frequency you want is not possible in this range an error message will pop up.
