Regarding K26P169M180SF5 SPI bus speed:

From the datasheet the maximum SPI frequency (Master mode) is specified for two voltage ranges:

2.7V < Vcc < 3.6V: 30MHz

1.71V< Vcc < 3.6V: 15MHz

For our application, running at 1.8V, this becomes a problem!

What is the limiting factor for the maximum SPI frequency and would it be possible to run the SPI at 30MHz even when Vcc=1.8V?

Hi,

As datasheet shows: The DSPI module can operate across the entire operating voltage for the processor, but to run across the full voltage range the maximum frequency of operation is reduced.
When the VCC =1.8V, the Max. SPI baud rate is 15Mbps.

When the VCC = 1.8V,  the SPI communication signal quality could be interfered by external EMI and generate SPI communication problem with higher baud rate.

Have a great day,
Ma Hui
