K40 Entering Low Power Modes

I'm using a Kinetis K40, part number MK40DN512VLQ MCU in a project with mask revision 4N22D.  I can't seem to get the processor into any low power modes.  Setting the PMPROT and PMCTRL registers and executing the WFI instruction to enter a Stop Mode doesn't seem to be working.  Are there any known issues with the K40 when entering low power modes?
