FRDM board and KDS - Debug Configurations no USB port appears

Good afternoon,

There is no USB port for me to select on the Debugger tab in Debug Configurations.

This problem occurred on Windows 10 and Ubuntu 19.10.

I am using the Freedom KL25Z platform and the KDS 3.2.0 software.

I downloaded PEDrivers_install.exe and Firmware Apps (.zip file) from PEmicro | Experts in Embedded tools for Flash.

On Windows 10, I installed the PEDrivers_install.exe driver and extracted the zip file (Pemicro_OpenSDA_ Debub_MSD_Update_Apps_2017_12_07) in the same folder.

On Linux I installed the Linux driver and extracted the Firmware Apps file.

What can I do to solve this problem?

When you connect openSDA to win10, is there a new disk appear? What is the disk name?

Hi Jing,

With the reset button pressed I connect to openSDA, wait 1 second and stop pressing the button. The red LED is flashing and no new disk appears.

What can this be?

Hi,

It seems the firmware in openSDA K20 is damaged. You have to use a Jlink/ulink/multilink to download the openSDA bootloader.

OpenSDA Serial and Debug Adapter | NXP 

At the bottom of the page, it shows how to update/install openSDA.
