MCF52235, MCF52234:CAU

Do you know how to determine whether CAU unit is present in MCF52235 family device: in softwareI have to make choice between MCF52234( doesn't have CAU unit, sha1 algorithm is performed in software) and MCF52235 ( CAU is present, sha1 is calculated by meens of hardware unit )? Thank you for help.

In my opinion, Chip Identification Register is perfect for this job. See manual.

Thank you for help. I tried to read out processor hardware configuration loaded after reset into D0 and D1 register, but it has the same value.

The regisiter I was referring to is part of Chip Configuration Module (CCM) and its address is IPSBAR+0x11000A. Again, see manual.

Yes, it works. Thank you for help. I tried to say that hw configuration information from D0,D1 after reset is the same for 52234 and 52235. And the manual approves that. The CAU present bit is always zero.
