M5329EVB - Compact Flash

Hi Everyone. Is there possibility to mount CF memory under uClinux on the M5329EVB board. I can't find any support for CF memories in the uClinux kernel configuration file (LTIB-20061117). Maybe there is some CF-patch ?. I wondering if there is possibility to direct access trough memory map (somewhere /dev/* ?). Does Anyone can help me ?? Regards.

in fact CF are connected in memory mapped mode on MCF5329evb and MCF5475/85evb. So you are not able to access it in True IDE mode (just like a classic CF/ HDD). You can access it as the memory space only.

The MCF5329 silicon with mask set 2M29B and older had errata relating to the chip select programmable address hold feature (errata #11 in the MCF5329DE.pdf on the web).

That errata prevented the CF interface from working properly.

The latest silicon mask 3M29B has fixed this errata.  So hopefully with the next release/update of the LTIB BSP for M5329EVB this interface will be supported.
