What did you change in your working setup before this problem has occurred? This CCS connection problem can have various causes.

Please use a known working standard evaluation/development board for connection testing if available. Please debug the Debug Version of a stationery project (created with CW New project wizard) with "Verify Memory Writes" checked and board .cfg file selected in the EPPC Debugger Settings panel of this project target in order to test your Ethernet TAP connection and CodeWarrior settings. Please use the default Ethernet TAP settings and add the static IP Address of the EthernetTAP in the remote connection settings. If still not working you can check the "Force shell download" (please do not use this option afterwards).

Then if still not working, please review the actions described in the Ethernet TAP "Troubleshooting" section of the CodeWarrior Ethernet TAP User's Guide.pdf. If still unsuccessful you may rewrite the Ethernet TAP firmware as described in the CodeWarrior Ethernet TAP User's Guide.pdf (located in CodeWarrior 8.7 installation folder\Help\PDF) chapter Reprogramming the Ethernet TAP Probe Firmware Image.

You can also check if you have the release version of CodeWarrior PA 8.7 build 70321 (CodeWarrior menu, Help->About...->Installed Products).

I hope this helps,

Black

Hi,

I have the same problem every time by the first using the CodeWarrior after I started my PC.
I push the "debug" button to debug my code but I get the error message "CCSProtocolPlugin::Could not connect".
My solution is to use an example projekt from "Processor Expert EXAMPLES Stationery".
There are a program named LED. If I use this program I can debug it without an error message. And after this I can debug my own program. Why does this happen?
And this happens every time I shut down the PC and starts it again.
What do I have to adjust in CodeWarrior?

Thanks

I'd need more information before I can even attempt an asnwer.

1) Is the setup still the same? Are you using the same PC, cable, and target board?

2) Did something change after the time the arrangement worked? Did you:
  a) Add software (new ethernet driver or application)?
  b) Change the hardware (new EtherTAP, new network card)?
  c) Did the network you use to connect to the EtherTAP change in any way?

3) Could something have happened to the dongle? Go to the IDE's Help menu and check if all of the licensed modules are active. (Help | About CodeWarrior, then click on Installed Products.)
