Asking google for "Internal error 2908" turns out that a lot of apps have this problems for some users, including MS applications like MS Office.
So it looks like on your PC, the MS installer service has a problem when installing CW V5.1 :smileysad:.
Things you could do:
- try to install it as different user. If this is due to a per user registry setting, this may help. I remember another user where this did actually help in his setup (not sure if the same problem)
- google a bit for "Internal error 2908"
- collect more info. Which app is showing "Internal error 2908"
- I guess you get actually more info than just "Internal error 2908", or? Normally the content of windows error messages can be copies to a text file with pressing Ctrl-C
(there is no indication in any UI that this is possible, so one has to know).
- advanced: there are some apps out to collect the information about what is beeing used.
So you can collect with
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/processmonitor.mspxall files and registry entries an application accesses. But this will create a lot of data, so try the other things first.
