Hi Steven,

The E suffix made the MC68HC908AZ60ACFU part number too long for our order system at the time. The part number was shortened to MC908AZ60ACFUE. As long as the AZ60A is in the part number, it is the same chip.

Regards,

John

Hi Steven,

I'm pretty sure they're exactly the same thing.  They used to have MC68HC908 prefixes before Motorola spun off Freescale.  Some time after that they shortened it to MC908.  And when you're comparing part numbers, remember that the 'E' suffix is (to the best of my knowledge) indicates RoHS compliance.  Thus an MC68HC908KX8CP, MC68HC908KX8CPE, MC908KX8CP, and MC908KX8CPE would all be the same part, functionally speaking.
